Limecrime Haul

Limecrime.

Lipsticks are my favourite makeup products to buy and Limecrime have some amazing colours, both for everyday and for the outrageous! I have bought a few lipsticks before and the colour payoff is awesome. The best thing I would have to say is the packaging, who doesn't love pink and sparkly unicorns?! The only problem I find is that sometimes their lipsticks break off at the base of the tube easily, which is a pain, but can be worked around. I ordered 4 lipsticks and 1 eyeliner off the Limecrime website. Which i think took around 2 weeks to arrived, which is normal for most online shops.

I have wanted to try the Limecrime eyeliners for quite a while, but could never decide what colour. So I went with purple just because it's my favourite.
It's called Orchidaceous (which I have no idea how to pronounce)!
I have yet to try this, but I'm really excited to. If I like it, I will definitely be buying more colours! I've got my eye on Citreuse which is a neon yellow/green.
Cost: $13.99

I'm obsessed with this lipstick packaging!
GREAT PINK PLANET. Mint To Be. MY BEAUTIFUL ROCKET. New Yolk City.
Cost: $15.99 each
So obviously I will get more wear out of some of these more than others, but I'm a lipstick junkie and want to have my hands on every colour! These lipsticks are creamy once they're on and you do have to reapply throughout the day, but I'm pretty much in love.

Back 2 MAC

Back2MAC is where you take 6 empty MAC products into a MAC counter or store and you get a free lipstick! (although i think recently they've changed it so it's only a selected range of lipstick, not the whole collection). Now because I am slightly obsessed with MAC and even more with their lipsticks I think this is an awesome program. It's a good incentive to buy higher end makeup as well, you are spending more on products, but every now and then you're getting a little bonus!

I recently depotted a lot of my eyeshadows and blushes and put them in palettes so I had saved up quite  a few products because I wanted to get a few lipsticks at the one time.

I got two lipsticks, they didn't have many colours in stock this time, which was a bummer, but I am pretty happy with what i got!

First is "Morange" which is basically just a really, really bright orange! This colour isn't for everyone but i love bright lipstick and I think oranges can look amazing on basically everyone. So if you're brave, give this lipstick a shot. It's also incredibly creamy and feels so nice once it's on!
Then there's "Ruby Woo" which would probably be one of MAC's most popular lipsticks. It's a very matte red. I didn't really need this, as I have a few lipsticks similar, but you can never have too many red lipsticks, right?

Morange and Ruby Woo swatches.

Priceline Haul

Every time I go into priceline, I come out with way more than I intended to buy before i went in. Especially this time, as there were sales on almost everything.

First I got 3 of the Maybelline "Baby Lips" and to me they seem pretty similar to the old Lip Smackers everyone used to have. One of them says that it's coloured, but once it's on the lips you can't really see the colour. However my lips tend to get really dry because i love matte lipsticks (which tend to be drying) so I'll be glad to have these in my bag and around the house.
first impressions- they keep my lips feeling really nice and smooth and they smell good!
Then I decided to try a new mascara, I don't really have a favourite at the moment and this is Rimmel "Scanaleyes" which says that it has 'Lycra technology enhanced formula for scandalous volume, leaves lashes feeling soft and flexible'. Now honestly, i got sucked in by the packaging. I loved that it was green and chunky and the fact that it was 20% off definitely helped seal the deal!
The wand doesn't look anything too special, but i'm excited to try it.
first impressions- it separates my lashes really good, but is quite messy!

Rimmel "Wake Me Up" foundation is something I've heard a lot about from YouTube Beauty videos and i have wanted to try it for quite a while, so with the 20% i thought now was the right time. I got the colour "100 ivory" and I'd say it's a pretty good match to my skin, but i think it might be the lightest colour they had. Anyway i did try it really quickly and just put it on with my fingers.. firstly it smells good, so that's nice! I couldn't see anything amazing so far, but I'll probably think differently when I've got a full face of makeup on.
first impressions- i wore it to work with my full face of makeup and i liked but it looked to get oily throughout the day, which is what i try to avoid with my skin.

I'm probably the worst person at painting my nails but I do love having pretty nails, so i decided to buy some new colours to encourage me to get my nails done more often!
Firstly i got the Sally Hansen "Hard as Nails Xtreme wear" in the colours
'130 Blue Me Away!'
'320 Fuchsia Power'
'83 First Blush' - (which is more pale pink than it looks in the photo)
The other nail polishes i got were Rimmel London "i <3 Lasting finish". Which were basically just so i spent a certain amount and received the goodie bag you'll see when you scroll down!
'239 Your Majesty'
'180 Purple Pulse'

I've heard a little bit about Essence products and that they're pretty good quality and for $2.75 each I decided to try these "Stay All Day" cream eyeshadows, whether to use as a shadow on it's own or as a eyeshadow base I know I'll find some use for it! The colours seemed really pigmented and pretty good quality! The blue colour is '07 JIM-ME BLUE' and the pinky-purple colour is '08 THE MAGIC MUST GO ON'.

So because I spent over $60 on certain products I got this free gift bag and like everyone, I love free stuff! I think the bag alone is cute enough, but it came with $220 worth of stuff and this is what i got..

An Ecotools bath sponge, which is made with 100% recycled plastic, which doesn't sound too appealing, haha but I'll give it a try!
Makeup wipes from the brand Savvy, which I've never heard of, but they're alcohol free and hypoallergenic so hopefully they're more gentle then other makeup wipes which can feel like they're scrubbing your face off.
I almost bought one of these Revlon "Colorburst Lip Butters" so i'm glad I get to try one of these, '025 Peach' is probably not a colour I would have chosen, but it looks quite pretty and shimmery when I did a swatch on my hand.
first impressions- it conditions lips really well and adds a bit of shine and sparkle.
I have fake nails so I don't think i'll really use this Manicare "Cuticle Therapy" but I guess it's something that's good to have around if you ever need it!
I'm quite excited to try this Australis "Paparazzi Perfect" High Definition Concealer. I love a good concealer because I have a lot of imperfections I like to cover, like my dark under eyes and my uneven skin tone! It looks like it might be slightly too dark for my skin tone, but if that's the case I can always use it when I'm fake tanned.
Bourjois "Volume Glamour Max" Mascara, besides the weird tube that this mascara comes in, I'm not too sure what to think! It says it has pearl black extract so for that reason alone I want to try it!
This Modelsprefer "Brow Highlighter" looks really pretty. I forgot to take a swatch of what it looks like, but it's just in pencil form that when applied to the skin comes out a pearly pink colour. It's actually really pretty.
Nude by Nature "Undercover Airbrush Mineral Primer" I just ran out of my MAC primer so this comes at perfect time for me. It smells really weird and I think it's designed to be used with the Mineral Make-Up by Nude by Nature, but I'm sure it'll do the job!
first impressions- i don't like the smell at all, small doses it's alright, but putting it all over my face was overwhelming! i also don't think it helps my makeup stay on any longer at all.
This '670 Midnight in NY' nail polish by Sally Hansen is the prettiest black i have ever seen, it's got the perfect amount of rainbow glitter, I will definitely by wearing this on my nails a lot!
This next lipstick is by Natio in the colour 'Flutter' it's a peachy nude type of colour that has a satin finish. It's a pretty colour but I'd probably wear a gloss over the top.
Rimmel "Wake Me Up" Instant radiance shimmer touch in the colour '004 Shimmering Sand'. This smells good just like the Wake Me Up Foundation and like it says it has a beautiful shimmer and I think it would look amazing as a cheekbone highlighter but maybe on darker skin tones.
(There were two stick on nail packages that I didn't include because I have fake nails, so I wouldn't have any use for them, but I suppose I'll keep them for a rainy day.)

So, I've definitely got a lot of new products to try which I'm always excited about, if I love any I will be sure to write a review!

MAC Haul

Last week i went to the MAC PRO store on Chapel St to get a few products for my makeup kit. Most of my experiences at MAC stores have been good ones, but I have heard a few people say that the girls or guys that work there can be quite rude. The girl who served me was Sarah (i think) and she couldn't have been more lovely or helpful! I knew i wanted to get foundation and powder, but wasn't sure what colours and she helped me pick them all out and told me exactly what they're good to use for. So i definitely recommend the PRO store if you want/need help with anything MAC because all the people i've had have been super nice and more than happy to help with anything.

To start with the girl who served me gave me the biggest (environmentally friendly) MAC bag ever!

So firstly for my lighter coverage foundation i got "face and body" in the colours C1, C4 & N7. This foundation is also waterproof and can be mixed with heavier foundation to give it a thicker consistency.
For a thicker foundation I went with "Studio Fix Fluid".  I'm pretty sure this is MAC's most popular foundation because of it's full coverage and long staying power. I got two cool tones in NC15 & NC35  and two warm tones in NW20 & NW40.
To set the foundation I went with "Mineralize Skinfinish Natural" in 'Light', 'Medium Deep' & 'Medium Dark'. I like these powders because i find that they make the skin look velvety without looking too cakey!

I also got pumps for the Studio Fix to help me not waste too much product and so it isn't so messy!

This did cost me a bit, but it's all for my kit and it will last me quite a while.
